Job summary:

Your role would primarily involve providing regulatory assistance and advice and would also involve:

  • Research of relevant legislation, regulations, codes and guidance;
  • Drafting advice, memoranda, and reports;
  • Drafting and reviewing documents such as policies, procedures, framework documentation, risk and compliance documents and governing documentation for clients;
  • Conducting file reviews and ‘health checks’ for clients;
  • Involvement in preparing and delivering training presentations;
  • Corresponding with clients, preparing meeting agendas and note-taking at meetings;
  • Business development, including contributing to and delivering presentations/ proposals to clients;
  • Maintaining records and using IT systems effectively;
  • Contributing to engagement management (to include billing);

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Industry background in risk and compliance
  • An inquisitive and enquiring mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organising skills – must be able to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • An ability to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making
  • An ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
  • Existing skills or a desire to upskill especially in the areas of digital finance, fintech and regtech

Your role will require:

  • A high level of proficiency with IT business software packages, including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Qualifications in a relevant subject matter
  • Strong academic background
  • Previous work experience in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the legal and regulatory regime in Jersey
