Oben support aspiring School Football team
Oben are delighted to be the proud sponsors of the Le Rocquier school under 12 football team in their bid to succeed in the English Schools’ Football Association under 12 nine-a-side cup.
The team primarily comprises boys who were in the successful St Clement School year 6 team, who won the English Schools’ FA Danone Nations Cup earlier this year. Following a media plea from the Le Rocquier school PE department for sponsorship, Oben are pleased to assist financially to help the school fund the travel to fixtures.
PE teacher Tom Webster told the Jersey Evening Post “Without it we wouldn’t have been able to continue to compete. There simply aren’t enough school funds to draw on and it’s too much to ask parents to contribute. It takes the worry of finance away from the teachers as well, which means we can concentrate on the team, the tactics and the coaching. We’re extremely grateful to Oben.”
